Did you know that the word “Baku” in Manadonese has a deep meaning? The meaning of “Baku” is similar to the meaning of “Malapus,” or mutual cooperation, which is a traditional way of life in Minahasa. This sense of closeness is represented by the structure and layers of the Baku Bedside Table, which represents this Minahasan traditional well.

The Baku Bedside Table is designed by Eugenio Hendro and crafted entirely using mahogany.
