During Milan Design Week 2026, Arketipo Firenze took a different approach to unveiling its latest designs. Instead of exhibiting within the main furniture fair, the Italian brand hosted an exclusive off-site presentation called Beyond the Crowd, welcoming guests to a rooftop setting high above the city.
The event took place from 20–24 April at Torre Breda, a landmark on Via Vittor Pisani. Its historic penthouse and suspended garden on the 29th floor, approximately 117 metres above the ground, created an intimate setting with wide views across Milan. The location offered a deliberate contrast to the pace of the exhibitions and installations taking place throughout Design Week.
Against this architectural backdrop, Arketipo presented pieces from its 2026 collection, continuing the brand’s exploration of expressive forms, strong design identities and carefully considered materials. New names in the collection include Materia, Moustache, Spring, Santos XL and WIDEBOY, each contributing to the varied character of the presentation.
The format also allowed visitors to spend time with the furniture in a setting closer to a private residence than a conventional trade stand. Guests could appreciate how the individual designs relate to one another, as well as the relationship between their scale, materials and the surrounding architecture.
Founded in Florence, Arketipo is known for furniture that places individuality and creative experimentation at the centre of its design process. Beyond the Crowd was a fitting expression of that identity: an opportunity to engage with new products through a more personal and considered experience.
The event demonstrated how Milan Design Week can extend beyond the exhibition halls, using distinctive spaces to communicate the ideas and character behind a collection.
