Melandas Indonesia is pleased to introduce Miform, a brand specialising in customised cabinetry and integrated interior solutions. Bringing together Italian design heritage with contemporary production capabilities, Miform expands Melandas’ offering for homeowners, architects and interior designers seeking furniture designed around the specific requirements of a space.
Miform traces its heritage to Former, an Italian furniture company with roots in the Fumagalli family’s workshop in the Brianza region, a longstanding centre of furniture craftsmanship. In 2022, Oppein Home Group acquired Former and launched Miform as a brand focused on integrated home furnishings. The brand combines Italian design perspectives with research, development and manufacturing capabilities in Asia.
Its product offering extends beyond conventional kitchen cabinetry. Miform develops coordinated solutions for kitchens, wardrobes, walk-in closets, bathrooms and other areas of the home, with complementary doors, wall panels and storage systems. This whole-home approach allows individual components to be considered as part of a consistent interior rather than as isolated pieces of furniture.
Customisation is central to the brand. Cabinet layouts can be planned according to a room’s dimensions, storage needs and daily routines, while selections of finishes and configurations help shape the final design. A family kitchen, for example, requires a different organisation of storage and work surfaces from a compact apartment kitchen or a dedicated dressing room.
With Miform joining its portfolio, Melandas now offers customers a more comprehensive way to plan fitted furniture alongside its existing selection of loose furniture and accessories. Miform products can now be viewed at the Melandas DIPO Flagship Store, where customers can also explore a wide selection of material and finish samples.
The Melandas team is available for consultations to develop customised cabinetry solutions around each project’s dimensions, design preferences and practical requirements.
